Cutwater Spirits wanted an awareness campaign to go live during the Super Bowl promoting their line of canned cocktails for those who want to take the bar with them. Knowing their audience is built of adventurers who are always looking for their next escape, we chose to encourage their “get out there” mentality on the day after the Super Bowl when millions are already known to call out of work. The only problem was, the current pandemic prevented many from having the same options to explore that they normally would. So, to give people a chance to cut out from their daily routine in the most Cutwater way possible without putting themselves at risk, we created The Ultimate Backyard Sweepstakes. Prizes included items like a yurt, fire pit, and cabana chairs which could be won by tweeting during the big game how you planned to #CutOutWithCutwater the next day. We collaborated with Emily Hampshire, a self-described “longtime cut out enthusiast”, to promote the sweepstakes and drive engagement.
